Day 1  Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Dades Gorge

We will depart early morning from Marrakech to travel over the spectacular High Atlas mountains via Tizi n Tichka pass. We will have time to stop and enjoy impressive landscapes and to visit the argon oil cooperative. We will stop for lunch and to visit at unesco world Heritage site, Ait Ben Haddou. After lunch we will pass through Ouarzazate and many Berber villages sprinkling the Skoura oasis and keela M’Gouna, the ‘Valley of the Roses’ on our way to Dades Gorge. We will arrive late afternoon for accommodation and dinner in a traditional hotel.

Day 2  Todra Gorge – Merzouga

After breakfast and a short drive to Todra Gorge, the massive fault dividing the High Atlas mountains. We will take a walk to see the sheer rock walls that rise to 300 m in the narrowest parts before continuing to Merzouga. We will arrive late afternoon to our Erg Chebbi hotel and prepare for departure on the camels. We will take the camel ride to see the sunset on top of the dunes before arriving to the desert camp. We will have a traditional tagine, drink delicious mint tea while watching the stars. And the rising moon in the amazing Sahara desert early morning. We will spend the night in a traditional nomad tent.

Day 3  Midelt – Ifrane – Fes

We will travel via the Ziz Valley and the Middle Atlas mountains as we depart the desert region to Fes. We will drive through the cedar forests of Azrou and stop to hand feed the monkeys. We will continue via Ifrane, the ‘Switzerland of Morocco’ to arrive early evening to Fes.

Day 4  Fes

After breakfast we will begin our guided tour of the Fes medina, one of the world’s largest walled in cities. You will explore the narrow streets lined with fresh fruit, mounds of spices, intricately woven Berber carpets and many other art objects of Morocco. A visit to the King’s Palace, the tanneries, and potters are just a few places you will experience.
