Day 2  Rabat – Meknes – Fes

On route, we will stop at Rabat, the capital city and residence of the King, for lunch and some time to enjoy this beautiful coastal city. After lunch we will continue on to the old imperial city of Meknes which dates back to the 11th century. By late afternoon we will reach Fes, the spiritual capital of Morocco…..Fes with it’s ancient dark and narrow, winding alleyways which conjure up all sorts of mystery and intrigue !

Day 3  Fes

After breakfast we will begin our guided tour of the Fes medina (the old city of Fes), one of the world’s largest in tact walled cities – and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will explore the narrow streets lined with fresh fruit stalls, mounds of spices, intricately woven Berber carpets and many other art objects of Morocco. A visit to the King’s Palace, the tanneries, and the potters are just a few of the places  on our itinerary that will provide unforgettable experiences – so be sure to have your cameras ready as there will be plenty of magnificent photo opportunities ! For lunch you will have the opportunity to eat in a traditional Moroccan restaurant in the heart of the medina. After lunch we will continue the tour and return to the hotel for the evening.

Day 4  Marrakech

After an early breakfast, we will depart Fes for the fourth Imperial city on our itinerary –  Marrakech. Have your cameras ready as this beautiful drive with spectacular scenery will take you up into the Middle Atlas Mountains and along the base of the High Atlas Mountains. Once in Marrakech, you will check into your hotel and then head off to Place Jemaa el-Fna, the central square of the medina – in the old part of Marrakech. The famous Place Jemaa el-Fna, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most popular places to visit in Marrakech.
Coming alive at night with local storytellers, entertainers, and mouth-watering barbecue pits, the square is well worth the visit.
A quiet cup of tea on the terrace of an adjacent cafe provides a spectacular aerial view of the bustling square.
