Day 1  Marrakech – Dades Gorges

Today we leave Marrakech for the Sahara and mountains, You will be picked up from your hotel at 9am.
On our way out of Marrakech we will make a short stop at Place Jemaa el-fna, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to give you an idea of what life is like in this bustling, vibrant and exciting part of old Marrakech (you will have an opportunity to come back here on the last day and do some shopping).

After this stop, we head towards the Sahara crossing the Atlas Mountains,  and the highest pass of Tizi n’Tichka (2260 m). Many stops are included along the way.

Our lunch will be in the city of Ouarzazate or ait ben haddou  which is well known for the movies filmed here such as: Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia…..and parts of Game of Thrones too!

The next part of our drive is along the scenic route which is known as the Route of the Thousand Kasbahs….a part of Morocco steeped in history….then on through the Valley of the Roses to the spectacular Dades Gorge.
It is in Dades Gorge surrounded by majestic mountains that we will spend the night in our beautiful accommodation.
Once settled into your accommodation there may be time left to explore this beautiful part of the world.

Day 2  Dades gorges – Todra – Merzouga – Sahara

A leisurely departure this morning…
After lunch at the hotel we will set off for the Sahara and the iconic golden sand dunes!
On our way to the sand dunes, we will have some stops…..

Arriving at our destination point……we leave the bus, swapping one mode of transport for another – an ancient and time honored vehicle…our camel!
We will take a 1.5 hour slow rhythmic ride across the dunes to our camp site where we will spend the night…..an exotic location surrounded by the dunes under a black star studded desert night sky…a magical, mystical night in the desert!
Many delights await you…..including a welcoming hot sweet Moroccan mint tea, delicious freshly cooked meals and a campfire and some desert drumming!

Day 3  Sahara – Marrakech

For the early risers you will be rewarded with the sight of a beautiful sun rising over the sand dunes.
After breakfast at the camp we will take the leisurely, mesmerising camel trek back to our bus then head back towards Marrakech making a few stops along the way.
Arriving in Marrakech in the afternoon you will have some free time to do any last minute shopping.
Tonight, our last night, will be spent in a Riad (a traditional Moroccon guest house/home) inside the old city of Marrakech and just a 10 minute walk from the famous square…..Place Jemaa el-fna.
In the evening we can meet again after dinner if you wish to go out.

Day 4  Departure day

After breakfast at the riad we will say our goodbyes , And our tour ends this morning after breakfast at the riad
